SRMS Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course 2024

The SRMS Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course 2024 will be held on Sunday (yes, Sunday!) 10th November 2024 at The Academia, SGH (full-day).

The curriculum had been revamped as a 3-yearly syllabus intended for synchronisation with the Rehabilitation Medicine Senior Residency programmes, to encourage uptake of ultrasonography among younger specialists, and allow participants to be exposed to a breadth of topics with specific relevance to the specialty. Last year’s “Basic/theoretical principles” lectures focused on rehabilitation-specific concepts, with live scanning for the upper limb.

For this year, we are delighted to announce that A/Prof Chueh-Hung Wu, from National Taiwan University, has agreed to participate as our guest lecturer and demonstrator. A/Prof Wu is not just an experienced practicing ultrasonographer, but he has also authored and edited multiple textbooks on musculoskeletal ultrasound and rehabilitation medicine. A/Prof Wu is an accomplished researcher with multiple publications under his belt, and is a much-sought-after speaker at multiple prestigious international conferences and workshops. A/Prof Wu’s lecture and demonstration will be on torsional sonoanatomy in lower limb spasticity.
