Membership of the society is open to physicians, professionals in related disciplines, and individuals with interest in rehabilitation medicine.
Society membership allows access to our courses and workshops, as well as networking opportunities within the rehabilitation medicine fraternity in Singapore through events such as the new residents’ welcome tea.
The society has four categories of members:
- Ordinary members are registered medical practitioners who have obtained specialist qualifications in Rehabilitation Medicine and are practicing in Singapore
(doctors of Associate Consultant grade and above) - Associate members are registered medical practitioners who are undergoing specialty training in Rehabilitation Medicine
(doctors of Senior Resident or Registrar grade) - Affiliate members are professionals who practice in related disciplines and individuals with interests in Rehabilitation Medicine
(doctors of Junior Resident or Medical Officer grade, and colleagues from Nursing and Allied Health disciplines) - Overseas members are registered medical practitioners who have obtained specialist qualifications in Rehabilitation Medicine and are practicing outside Singapore
(doctors of Associate Consultant-equivalent grade and above)
In addition, the council of the SRMS bestows honorary membership and these members are distinguished professionals of distinction who have contributed to the advancement of rehabilitation medicine.

From 2020 onwards, payment of annual fees may be performed via PayNow, a peer-to-peer funds transfer service for Singaporean banks.
